Patton Park is a beautiful park located in Hamilton, Massachusetts, named after General George S. Patton. It’s an extensive recreational center for both the towns of Hamilton & Wenham and is used quite frequently for many different activities. For the past few years there has been a summer concert series at the gazebo with concerts on Sunday evenings. The Hamilton Recreation Department runs a summer park program and there is also a town pool, ball fields, and tennis courts.
A volunteer group, the Friends of Patton Park, raised funds and organized the rebuilding of an extraordinary playground. There is a pond with ice skating, which has also been great for watching as you go by in the winter. It is the host of a wide range of events throughout the year. There is plenty of room to walk or sit and enjoy. Just one of the many resources the town has that make Hamilton a fantastic place to live!

Dane Street Beach & Lyons Park in Beverly, MA
Lyons Park and Dane Street Beach are located just a short distance from downtown Beverly on Lothrop Street. Many people run, walk, and sit enjoying the view, with Independence Park on one side and Lynch Park not too far on the other. There is a beautiful grassy park and a field with benches that look out over the sandy beach and rocky shore. The view is out over Mackerel Cove and Beverly Harbor with the Beverly Cove neighborhood bordering and the city of Salem on the other side. There is parking on the street and a small car lot. (more…)

Hamilton – Wenham Public Library
Opened in 2001, the library is located in a downtown residential neighborhood, at the site of what was once the Hamilton Wenham Regional High School. The old building was dismantled and this well-designed community space was erected in it’s place. The former high school gym segment of the building was retained and incorporated into the design of the new library building and currently houses the Hamilton Wenham Recreation Department. Waterfront Park in the Ryal Side Beverly, Massachusetts
Obear Park is a fabulous water front park located in the Ryal Side area of Beverly.
Not very well known, but well known in Ryal side.
There is a great lawn with benches, a beach to explore on, playground, and tennis courts.
Great place to watch the sunset as well.

West Manchester Beach – Manchester By The Sea, MA
The winter is also a great time to enjoy the beauty of the North Shore. West Manchester Beach is located at Harbor Street in Manchester where private Boardman Lane turns off. There are no amenities located at this beach and little parking for Manchester residents. Each time we visit this beach it seems to change with the time of day and the seasons. Located near Tuck’s Point and the Manchester Yacht Club. One of many beautiful spots on the North Shore of Boston. (more…)

White Beach Manchester, MA
Manchester has 12.8 miles of beautiful shoreline. There is well known Singing Beach located on Beach Street, but there are quite a few other lessor known recreational areas.
White Beach is located off of Summer Street on Ocean Street in Manchester, Massachusetts. Not to far from the Coolidge Reservation and Magnolia in Gloucester. It is a small beach with few parking spaces that are reserved for residents with parking permits.

Appleton Farms is a beautiful farm and property of about 658 acres located on the North Shore of Boston in Ipswich and Hamilton Massachusetts. It is a Trustees of the Reservations property and continues to be one of the oldest operating farms in the country. It is an operating dairy farm that also processes products including cheese, yogurt and butter. They run a CSA as well, with pick you own produce for the CSA members. (more…)

Shalin Liu Performance Center Rockport, MA
The Rockport Music Shalin Liu Performance Center an exceptional, and beautiful concert hall. The back of the stage has a magnificent window that looks out over the water. We are amazed at the variety of performances they offer and can’t wait to go back. This is a fabulous asset on the North Shore of Boston. (more…)
