West Manchester Beach – Manchester By The Sea, MA
The winter is also a great time to enjoy the beauty of the North Shore. West Manchester Beach is located at Harbor Street in Manchester where private Boardman Lane turns off. There are no amenities located at this beach and little parking for Manchester residents. Each time we visit this beach it seems to change with the time of day and the seasons. White Beach Manchester, MA
Manchester has 12.8 miles of beautiful shoreline. There is well known Singing Beach located on Beach Street, but there are quite a few other lessor known recreational areas.
White Beach is located off of Summer Street on Ocean Street in Manchester, Massachusetts. Not to far from the Coolidge Reservation and Magnolia in Gloucester. It is a small beach with few parking spaces that are reserved for residents with parking permits.

Hospital Point Lighthouse – Beverly Cove – Beverly MA
Located at the end of Bayview Avenue in the Cove neighborhood of Beverly, MA. It was built in 1871 and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It gets it’s name from a smallpox hospital that was in this location and burned in 1849. Read about the history of the Hospital Point Lighthouse Lighthouse.
Currently a private residence so it is not regularly open for tours but does open on occasion. The view at the end of Bayview Avenue is a spectacular one. Looking out towards Lynch Park and Salem Harbor.

Appleton Farms Ipswich Massachusetts
Trustees of the Reservations
Appleton Farms is a beautiful farm and property of about 658 acres located on the North Shore of Boston in Ipswich and Hamilton Massachusetts. It is a Trustees of the Reservations property and continues to be one of the oldest operating farms in the country. It is an operating dairy farm that also processes products including cheese, yogurt and butter. They run a CSA as well, with pick you own produce for the CSA members. (more…)

Lynch Park Beverly, MA
Lynch Park Beverly, MA
This fabulous water front park is located in the Beverly Cove neighborhood in Beverly. It is a historic 16 acre park managed by Beverly Recreation Department. It has much to offer and is a frequently used and cherished asset for Beverly and the North Shore. Beverly residents can get a sticker and park for free during the summer season but is open for others to use as well for a fee.
There is a beautiful rose garden, two beaches, playground, band shell, carriage house and beautiful grounds. There are plenty of benches to sit and enjoy the spectacular ocean views. Many events and functions take place in the park.
Lynch park has been a Beverly public park since 1943. You can read the interesting history from the Beverly Recreation Department. See the slideshow below for photos of the park.

New England Beaches – Seal found on the beach!
John recently found this three day old seal on the beach.
He called the Marine Animal Rehab Center and the little seal is recovering well with a few other newborns. We will be checking in on him to see how he is doing. John & Cindy Farrell

Shalin Liu Performance Center Rockport, MA
The Rockport Music Shalin Liu Performance Center an exceptional, and beautiful concert hall. The back of the stage has a magnificent window that looks out over the water. We are amazed at the variety of performances they offer and can’t wait to go back. This is a fabulous asset on the North Shore of Boston. (more…)
